Notice he had none of this vigor when Fizdale was fired

"Fiz is a guy who has just a fantastic authenticity as a person and as a coach," Carlisle said. "It won't be long before he lands on his feet. There's no question about that."

this isnt remotely a big deal. lavar can continue to funnel his opinion thru channels not directly associated with the team, like he did here talking to some random espn college hoops reporter. fungible ass local beat reporters will steer clear from putting a mic in his face, which they generally do already anyways since hes not directly associated with the team. the journalists that dont worry about having their direct access to the team or the teams facilities taken away will continue to hound ball for quotes and soundbites

Coaches look out for each other.

I love what lavar is doing but coaches have enough naysayers.

Luke Walton isn’t a great coach, not even a good one yet. Lavar has the same right as anyone to express his opinion. You never hear coaches taking away credentials when writers bash players or call for certain coaches to be fired :mjpls:
I don't think it's so much that he's expressing his opinion. It's the idea that somehow he has some sort of credibility to talk about the shyt he talks about. Lavar can run his mouth all he wants, but if you're a basketball writer, why are you running to Lavar Ball for Lakers related shyt?

Right. I don't see the big deal. It's an opinion, nothing else

It's not as if he's stalking team practices or heckling from the stands

I don’t think Jeff Goodman asks Lavar about the Lakers specifically. If you’ve seen their interviews, he barely gets a question out and Lavar just starts rolling about any and everything.

Carlisle is a good coach. Stop it.
What makes him a good coach? He was average before Dirk, needed Jason Kidd to coach them from the floor and Lebron meltdown to win a ring, and hasn’t been out the first round since.

Any other coach with 7 straight first round exits or playoff misses would be fired, especially if they didn’t have the complexion for the protection.

jeff goodman has nothing to do with the nba, at all. if his job was to cover the lakers and he was hunting down lavar ball for interviews instead of reporting on the lakers, then that would be a problem and theyd be well within their rights to tell the la times or whatever paper the guy worked for to kick rocks or get a guy in that will write on the team

I agree with you. And Jeff Goodman is one of the best in the business for college basketball so they won’t be able to do anything to him
