Just copy the MLB and whoever wins the All-Star game gets home court in the Finals
Your record gets you home court all the way up til the conference finals
Also, just get better nikkas for the dunk contest gotdamn:hhh:

They should make it like MLB where the winning conference gets home court advantage for the finals. Dudes would play harder if that was the case :yeshrug:

MLB stopped doing that as of now.

I see Silver's calculated name dropping of Jordan and Jeanie Buss.......Jordan(Oakley situation)......Buss(Lakers situation)
I noticed he lowkey said that Chris Paul, Lebron, James Jones and Kyle Korver negotiated the CBA. Bron really thinks he's The Godfather out here

The Million Dollar All Star Game

They should do that for real. Put the money in a pot and the winning team gets the million dollars.
Or each team starts off with 500k and when a team scores it takes money out of the other team's "bank"

All star festivities as a whole needs a reset.

I like the idea of team captains choosing what players is on the team on some playground ball type of scenario.:yeshrug:

Theres too much money at stake for teams and their star players. Nobody is gonna play too hard and risk injury. Look at Kyle Lowry. I can accept a star player getting injured during a regular season game but not all-star game.

They were playing hard for years.. y'all kill me with this shyt... some of the goat players played hard in every all star game they played. FOH with this injury shyt.

Its a wrap. There are no solutions. Can't recreate regular season/playoff mindsets.

All you can hope for is a somewhat close game in the 4th when guys actually get serious:yeshrug:

This gen doesn't play hard in the 4th either.

Again, the all star game has never been play around for 3 quarters then play hard in the 4th. I grew up watching all star games where they played hard for 4 quarters, that's what made the game so great and enjoyable to watch. You had the best players in the world actually coming at each other's heads. There were fouls and players didn't allow easy baskets.

fukk outta here with this gimmick 4 point shot shyt too. Just have the players play defense, problem solved.

Oh swear. Were people complaining about that format?
People always complained about why some guy from a bum ass team could be the deciding factor in who gets home field advantage in the all-star game. Also, the AL would always win, which meant the NL didn't have the extra game to play by their rules. For the most part, teams take the game seriously again, which was the whole point of adding home field incentive.

Now they're just going back to whoever hosts the All-Star Game, the other league gets home field like they used to (2017 is in Miami, so the AL by default gets home field)

If you win the MVP and are a team out of playoff contention your team gets a bump in their record of 5 wins.
