I think most of you dont understand that the NBA is a nonprofit organization
I think you don't understand owning a team is not a right. Or that the NBA itself is simply the association of 20 odd franchises, who cannot continue to take the financial hit because of one idiot's problems with his women.

Court or not, it's still an asset. With an active fanbase and active ticket and merchandise sales. Being in court doesnt stop any of the money.

Well Chris Paul seemed to suggest last night that playing for Sterling is not an option. Of he owns the team, I dont see all of the players playing for him. No sponsors, no players, court battle, its not an attractive asset. If Blake and CP can somehow get free, good luck selling tickets.

this shyt aint gonna happen and it's nothing but a smoke screen to distract from the fact they still haven't taken the vote yet to out him as owner....I don't wanna hear about any mights, ifs, what abouts, etc....those shyts are nothing but smoke screens to keep prolonging this hoping people will eventually just not care, pay attention to it.....why the hell haven't they voted yet? that's the only question that needs to be getting asked....that vote should've happened before silver's press conference...

What financial hit has the NBA itself taken since these comments became public?

We're talking about contraction. Not changing owners. Eliminate and erase from the league. That is not going to happen.

I have serious doubts that the owners will vote him out. I'm willing to bet they're coming up with a way to make the votes anonymous.
