So many stoppages and penalties nowadays that I can't agree with that. Every team tries to throw 45+ times, there seems to be never ending defensive holding or illegal contact flags, and most teams simply aren't good enough to try play like the greatest show on turf. Then there's the fact that most games have some 11-12 minutes of actual play, while the rest of the 3-4 hours we spend watching a game is huddling up, stoppages, and commercials.

Breh, there's no way you can refer to the NBA as a gossip show and then try to big up the NFL.
The NBA is greater than the NFL in every way. The NFL has a lot of cac redneck fans and is played once a week usually on boring ass Sunday's and work day nights like Monday's and Thursday's in the winter that's why the ratings are higher.
Basketball is way more global anyway and discussed more in real life it dominates barber shop talk and played more by people casually. NBA players are way more marketable and recognized domestically and internationally.
