But instead of working for free, they get paid miillions of dollars to run with a ball or put the ball through a hoop. Also the fame and glory they receive from the same people that hate their skin. shyts weird when you think about it

Yes their are similarities between the NBA and NFL Combine and slavery but to be fair anything involving physicality is going to be evaluated on the same way. Obviously the biggest, fastest and strongest are demands for any athlete or slave

This argument has been dumb from top to bottom. These dudes are not slaves. The argument can be made forcollegiate sports as those teams bring in major fukking revenue. Got college coaches being paid better than professors, especially if its a big 10 or something near it.
Truth is, you cannot call any man being paid millions a slave. Are their strings that come with having that money? Sure. But thats because with that agreement comes an understanding that you conduct yourself a certain way lest you damage a teams image, sponsors images, etc. they are being paid to shut up and do something they already loved doing, which is the key that folks seem to miss. You cant line up what ballers are doing to slavery that only recently ended in human history, or even the forms of slavery still going on. Are these guys sewing shoes for 12 hour shifts and barely making it out ahead?
