this reminds me of how CBS/Paramount took the one show MTV had that was worth a damn that cost actual money to produce (The Challenge) and dilute it thinking wouldn't it be cool if we merged our flagship with some new shyt we're tryna do around the world along with other competition shows we already own and make this super universe of Challenges to crown a world champion?Silver wants a real world champion
CBS decides, "let's do Challenge UK, Challenge Australia, Challenge Argentina and even a brand spanking new Challenge USA that doesn't even involve any of the OG characters any Challenge head would know." What happened was nobody gave a shyt anywhere. They stuck to the shows they already knew. Nobody in America who otherwise would watch the Challenge watched Challenge USA. When CBS decided to enact their grand plan, they had to bring in people from the OG flagship show to make it watchable. They did one world championship. They never tried it again. The OG Challenge fans were like "just give me a version where none of these people exist" and now the flagship is even more reliant on people that came from shows that died 15 years ago.
The NBA s doing all this shyt when all the real heads want is the Sonics back. Same way CBS tried bringing in people from all these random ass CBS shows when all the real Challenge fans want is The Real World and Road Rules back.
