it was a great game, but its something to do with Alabama fatigue.

Nobody wants to keep seeing the same team win over and over and over again.

Which is why David Stern vetoed the Chris Paul trade.. lets just stop talking conspiracies, and look at it as a business move.

The Lakers had already been in 7 NBA finals with Kobe. They had just came off 3 straight finals appearances.

Why would they then infuse this team with more elite talent? the people would have had Lakers fatigue.

So they hit reset on the squad, and let the "small-market" teams come up and it was a great business move.

Actually stern vetoed the paul trade was because the small market owners like gilbert were bytching about big market teams getting players and preferential treatment.

Wasn't cause the fans were tired of the lakers they had the best ratings since MJ bulls broke up (until the heat super team was made).

Also that 80s lakers team with magic went to 9 finals and folks still tuned in to see them. In the NBA fans rarely get tired of seeing loaded star powered teams. Expecially with the history of the lakers. The Celtics and lakers have basically cared the league for over 50 years.

Also stern works for the owners he does their bidding as a whole at the end of the day.

naw, NBA thrives off big legacy teams and superstars..nobody gets tired of the Lakers, Warriors, Heat, Cavs,Celtics etc when they were good..

problem with Alabama is they are very boring, they have little individual name recognition compared to past great teams like USC, Texas, Miami etc.

THE OWNERS CARED....THATS WHY THEY CRIED TO DAVID STERN, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED HIM TO VETO THE TRADE.

CP3 WITH KOBE FROM 2012-2016 WOULDA BEEN AT LEAST A COUPLE MORE TITLES.....AND NO ACHILLES TEAR, BECAUSE KOBE WOULDNT HAVE HAD TO CARRY THE TEAM ON HIS BACK TO MAKE PLAYOFFS. KOBE COULD REALISTICALLY STILL BE PLAYIN HAD BIITCHASS STERN NEVER VETOED THAT DEAL.

I wish the CP3 trade never got vetoed
Kobe and CP3 would have been butting heads I think
Houston would have got Pau, so Kobe wouldn't have had the big man he needs to win (don't trust Bynum brehs)
Harden would have never went to Houston since they wouldn't have had the assets anymore for the trade
GS probably never makes it pass okc for a chip and thus durant never leaves
Ant Davis probably would have better pieces cause he'd be on a different team best case, worst case is the pelicans would have dragic and aminu with him right now and never wasted cap room on hurt Eric Gordon
Mad ripple effects to that trade
The levels :ohlawd:
