Unsurprising, but happy for MLB and hope they can keep the positive trajectory going. Manfred has been heavily criticized during his tenure but you know what, he's grown the game. Chiefly with the expansion of the postseason, the institution of the pitch clock, the ghost runner, etc. They are doing a better job of marketing their stars, too.
MLB is not yet more popular than NBA but I made a prediction earlier this year, that, that popularity shift is one the board within a decade or sooner, if the NBA doesn't make its product more digestible.
And yes, the MLB playoffs have been better than the NBA playoffs for quite awhile now, at least the last half-decade. The last really good NBA playoffs was 2021, or 2019. The MLB is putting up A-level postseasons on an annual basis.
When this expansion happens in the next 5 years I just need one of my cities to get a squad (Sacramento or Raleigh), and Manfred is the GOAT
