you can't effectively play love and korver on the floor together and expect to compete defensively.

you have to bench JR smith, start jeff green (hope he plays better) bring love off the bench to play against backups and pray for sprained ankles

maybe the cavs should start small and try and gain some momentum

Green
Lebron
Cedi (can't shoot but is ok defensively lebron will get him open looks)
rodney hood
george hill (seems to have found his shot and will fight and challenge defensively.

get javale in space and take advantage of your perimeter speed and force kerr to downsize which will bring in another player the cavs can sag off on defensively in pursuit of stopping those shooters.

The cavs are dead so anything is possible

off the bench come with

love
TT
korver( in small spurts to see if he can get a shot off)
calderon (no reason he can't guard quinn cook or nick young, he doesn't turn the ball over either and can hit open shots)

Play a lineup of

A. Hill/Cedi/Hood/Bron/Green

or

B. Bron/Cedi/Hood/Green/Tristan

for at least a few minutes so you can have personnel that can be effective at switching everything. It’s embarrassing watching Love try to guard Curry and Durant.

Hmm I kinda like the lineup but how do you make up loves offense and rebounding? I’m not sure you can afford to keep him off the floor. The warriors will just triple team bron and the others don’t have enough offense to match up.

Just switch all pick and rolls like houston did, everyone on the court is 6-8 or taller so i does not matter. If the warriors start Isoing then you have already won.
They did switch on everything last night and the results were terrible

hood can create his own shot and hill can make the 3. Cedi is the only one who's offense is iffy, but he can move and get in the lane

Basketball reasons for winning a game or two. Start Bron at point guard, not point forward. Play Korver at the 2 followed by Hood/JR, Jeff Green at the three followed by Bron when you bring in Hill. Love at the 4 and TT/Nance at the 5.
Bron
Korver
Green
Love
TT

Bron cant rest at half court while the offense runs with Hill in if he's tired. His defender lags off to the three point line and it creates a 4 on 5 disadvantage on offense. He must get to the mid post when Hill is in on most possessions, that way he can help get offensive rebounds on long misses and get his defender (KD) in foul trouble when he wants to score.
-Korver/Hood need to get JR's looks from 3. Keep Love engaged in the post.
-Hill and TT/Nance can run the PnR to get the McGee switch onto the Hill. Should be a lob for Nance/TT on Curry almost every time.

Defensively they cant switch when Love is involved in the PNR, he cant guard Curry or KD - stop the damn switching Lue. Gotta fight over the screens to hide him while he's in. Double off of Looney, JaVale, Cash Considerations and Draymond if they are on the weak side and make them pass all the way across court, you might have time to recover and not give up a layup. If the reserves are hitting mid-range shots or 3s, so be it, make them hit them all game and in crunch time

I don’t think you can bench Hill, he’s the only other Cav besides Love who can score off of late rotations when the defense collapses on Bron. And despite Durant and McGee raping him last game, he competes on defense.

You HAVE to Bench JR obviously. Play Green instead: with the way JR is shooting, its not much of a drop-off offensively (may even be a step up) from 3.
