It's not about asking NBA players to bail out Greece, necessarily.

But they don't mention wealthy white athletes or businessmen bailing out anybody.

Wall Street bonuses are at an all-time high.
Golf courses take up an enormous amount of land and use up obscene amounts of water to maintain. Nobody ever looks at those areas to solve other major problems.

From this pov I understand, but there's a whole thread on first page about NFL players (BLACK players) complaining about NBA salaries. Correct me if I'm wrong, but have those NFL players been talking about golf courses and Wall Street bonuses too?

These two stories (NBA free-agency and Greece defaulting) are happening at the same time, involve the same amount of money. Easy article to write.

They are talking about their inequities of salary compared to the leagues' revenue and their risk as an employee. NOT saying the players don't deserve it or should give it to them.

That's only the first payment. Over the coming years it totals 275 billion. Stupid article anyway.

:why: First of all, NFL players are complaining about NFL salaries, they are only using NBA salaries to justify their stance on why they should be paid more. Second, you are comparing fellow athletes from different sports expressing their desire to increase their salary based on the economics of the other league, with the White Street Journal suggesting that NBA players get paid too much because of the problems of a fukk ass country like Greece:mindblown: You're not making much sense right now.

Sure.
Ask NBA free agents, who are predominantly black, to solve the problems of a highly racist, financially irresponsible country 5,000 miles away
it's not asking them too, it's saying that the NBA agents made enough money that they could.

Indeed.
But this note is never made regarding white athletes or rich white men when talking about whose dollars could solve social or economic problems.
