If we look at all of the "Superstars" going back to the 80s, it's rare that they didn't make the playoffs within their 1st 4 years in the NBA. Kevin Love put up monster stats, but a team with him as their best player isn't winning anything... nor could a team with him as their best player make the playoffs.

True it was a stupid example cause they made it by the slimmest of margins this year, mainly because of okcs injury issues...but if kd plays 2 or 3 more games Davis isn't any less of a player...there's just too much out of the control of a player in his first 3 or so years for making the playoffs to be any kind of significant sign of things imo
