Imagine if these athletes with their aggregated billions had a sense of community and looked out for HBCUs. A couple 100 thousand yearly or whenever into a fund for capital improvements, scholarships, and overall idea and pride of their talent and skill generating enough wealth they can help hundreds and thousands of people that look like them, and assist in maintaining these institutional legacies......imagine.
No HBCU would be scrapping by if professional players adopted HBCUs, even if they didn't attend. Instead 500K goes to pay for Sara's jewelry collection.
I don't know what it takes to instill black pride in these athletes. They aren't bad people, but their mentality is busted...IDK what it would take. This is not policing diicks or pockets, but we got to make it cool for professional black athletes to see the value in marrying black and giving to black instititions. These are the jewels and legacies of our people, and we have descendants of first generations of Black Americans that haven't been exposed or convinced why they should be using some of their resources to help HBCUs, especially private ones.
