I understand the celtics getting bumped because of bruin playoff games, but honestly start the celtics at 7pm today and the raptor game can start at 9:30 that isn't 2 late.

nba puts the celtics sixers at 5pm on espn on a saturday instead of having that game at 8:00 on tnt and moving the caps raptors to 3:30 on ABC on saturday

sunday the nba features the rockets and pels at 3:30 on ABC when the warriors will be up 3-0 and looking to sweep.

Meanwhile Utah will be up 2-1 on the rockets on sunday and you have that game at 8:00PM instead of a 5:30 Slot on ABC, and they could've given TNT the warriors pels at 9pm or something

the nba will never compete against itself ratings wise. i still don't understand how the nhl can have playoff games start at the same time.

Because TNT and/or ESPN aren't gonna have LeBron + two top 5 major sports cities playing at the same time. They not crazy.

they were staggered starts, meaning one game at 7 the next at 7:30 then 9:30 and the last one 10:00.

for the first round you have to because of the amount of games on and your not going to start games before 7pm on weekdays. I'm talking about second round and beyond

Teams have multiple days off between games all the time. Heck, the Pacers/Cavs series games 1 and 2 were on Sunday and Wednesday, respectively....with no travel
