Who the fukk started this shyt? And why do people still believe this? Hasn't it occured to people that maybe the NBA might just have better offense. I played in a few pick up games with NBA/Overseas players, there is almost nothing you can do to throw them off

I even found a old article 30 years ago that spoke on people saying that the NBA plays "no defense". Funny cause I thought every team back then was "playing hardnosed defense"

Most of the western teams just runnin and gunnin i tried wtaching some of the Rocket Clipper game last night and it was a glorified playground game defense was optional

Miami and Indiana is the one matchp im lookign forward to becasue every basket is earned

Team defense is better, teams score less today than they did 20 years ago. The league made it easier on offensive players because it was getting to the point where we were seeing a lot of 70 to 73 games.

Yeah it's bullshyt. Squads like MIA, Indy, & Chicago play that crazy D. There are exceptions like LAC & Houston, but that's just due to their offensive run n gun style.

I never got why casuals hate low scoring, grind it out, defensive NBA games. It reminds me of those early 2000-2007 SEC football games where you'd have scores like 10-3 or 14-9, or 12-6. Everything was earned...it was a real man's game and it felt like a huge accomplishment every time your team scored. I wish the NBA brought back physical defense and the refs gave more leeway with physicality and kept their whistles quiet more often. I'd love to see some more 80-75 type of games. Maybe I'm in the minority

Matchups make sports interesting. I love to see contrasting styles and seeing who comes out victorious. I'd love to see a team who averages 85 a game come out and play against one who averages 110 in the finals. The NBA seems like all of the teams are blending into two vanilla styles - perimeter pick n rolls, and uptempo run n gun offense with perimeter pick n rolls in the halfcourt.

Lack of variety on offense is more of an issue than lack of defense in my opinion.

Well the rockets two best defense players didn't play. I don't know what u expected....

And Miami and indi aren't the only teams that play d. Memphis, Charlotte, washington, New Jersey, Toronto all give heavy effort on the defensive end
