I can see the Nets winning 45-46 but i think more than that is asking too much of a jump in one off season...I like Deron...but lets be real JJ is a question mark and they have some good players (Crash,Lopez) but they arent all stars, they are just good players....

50-60 wins is reach...

I was with you on the Nets possibly having the best record in the East, but they aren't really seeing Miami.

What will happen is that the Nets will be forced into playing small, they don't have PF's that can hurt the Heat for going with Battier. Everyone views the Lakers as a bad match for the Heat cause their frontcourt is big, and they both can score, only Lopez can score from the post for the Nets. They'd just put Bron on Humphries and let Battier defend Wallace.

Hump is good. Hump can score at times in the post. Crash can play PF as he did many times in Charlotte when he lead them to the playoffs. You guys really acting like Crash, Joe, Deron, and Lopez are scrubs or just fell off. Joe was an All Star last year and Crash was an All Star two years ago. Lopez can score and Hump avg. 14 and 11 last year. What makes you think Miami can handle Brooklyn?

I watch them tonight. They looked more like a team in a pre-season game than Miami looked all of last year outside of the playoffs. That's an instant gel meaning the pieces fit. I really think you gotta think about this. Too many people are underestimating Joe and Lopez. Deron as well. Deron is a beast. Everyone in NBA circles knows that. He led Utah to the WCF with Boozer being his second best player. Boozer wouldn't even be the 4th best player on this team.

Look at Miami, outside of Lebron, they really ain't that special. Even with him, they weren't a great team. I think they will beat Brooklyn but I really think Brooklyn is better on paper and they look they will fit in real nicely as well. The only thing they really need to improve on in my opinion is team defense. I didn't see much of it especially when the bench was on the court. Avery gotta get them playing team D.

How is Joe a question mark? I been watching him in every game in Atlanta for 7 years running. I can tell you, Joe is one of the best players in the league. He just isn't a #1 option and Atlanta never had a superstar. He was one of the most doubled NBA players and he was doubled more than even Kobe. You guys love to talk s**t but don't look at the situation at times.

Last year the Nets started the season with this starting five:
Deron
Morrow
James
Hump
Petro
:whoa: That's some terrible s**t. Garbage. Who the h*ll can win with that. Hump is a good player but he's nothing special and even then his first game he had 21 and 16.

I agree about Crash, Lopez has always been an All Star, that fool stay hurt or being the #1 option for trash teams. You can't win that way.

no offense my dude, but you're just repeating soundbites from talking heads. leave the "closer" talk to :skip:

the Nuggets are incredibly efficient offensively, they'll always have a PG (and Iggy) on the floor that know how to get good shots for their team and themselves. the question isn't can they score down the stretch, the question is can they defend down the stretch at a high level.

V. OKC, LAL, and SAS, they will need a #1 option. Which is why no one has them going beyond the 2nd round.

Because they play position less basketball? We have multiple guys that can play 2-3 positions and 1 guy that can play any position on the floor. What can your guys do?

I am a Hawks fan so we too play trash like position-less basketball but with worse result since we don't have offensive weapons like James or Wade.

It doesn't work on offense. Defensively, it works to a degree but you haven't had to play a real center with talent and when you did, you greatly struggled ala Hibbert. Your not built to beat LA but OKC is built to beat LA and your built to beat OKC but Brooklyn is built to beat ya'll.

fukk unearned hype. :yeshrug:

we have a first option, he's that 5'11 dude that makes the Nuggets' offense special.

against those teams, they will need to defend with consistency -- particularity on the perimeter.

Lawson can be shut down. He's not a #1 option. You better hope Gallo turns into something crazy good on offense or 2nd round is your limit.
