To be fair, i think at some point he'll become good on defense. He'll never be a lockdown defender but servicable

thats just pathetic. Thats the difference between a superstar and a star. Plays zero defense and doesnt play D so he can be fresh to hoist shots. The real superstars/alltimers dont have to play like this until they are like 10 year vets. Whats the point of scoring all the points if you give up just as much. I dont respect young players who dont give effort on D.

I calculated it myself.
The formula goes a lil something like this:
shots unadjusted + milliseconds daydreaming on the perimeter + (running down the court before your team gets the defensive rebound) x2 + going for a steal/playing man ratio x milliseconds standing in one spot + games without personal grooming* + helping an opponent drive to the rim + caught behind screens situations x lost in the PNR x miss-rotations + days/nights ratio of chasing strippers instead of your man (pause x3) + getting caught with a pump fake ÷ minutes on the court when your coach isn't shaking his head at your defense.
*Duncan, Russell, Wallace, Moncrief and any black pre-civil rights era player excluded from 'games without personal grooming' variable.
Took me a while to fine tune the metric, but I got there in the end.
