difference is aint shyt else to do in OKC... we talkin about New York City here :yeshrug:

bring the Pelicans to Los Angeles and see if anyone gives a shyt :mjlol:

Knicks/msg will always be a prominent team jus off nostalgia but n1kkas cant wait to hop on a new wave

Its money in Brooklyn, they jus need to put together a team that bring people out. Im sure the management didn't expect the novelty to fill the seats forever

lol why he gotta be a gangbanger? Them Fox News tactics..

But yeah. I expected to see a lot more Nets gear being rocked by casual fans. But New Brooklyn doesn't have the same appeal as old Brooklyn...

Ummm look at dudes background and tell me if a black dude with his background wouldn't be called a thug when he put in his bid for a team. Better yet the owners would have said hell naw.

Lets also not forget the US government said that the league shouldn't even sell him the team because of his shady background.

Move into an arena not designed for your sport brehs

Like another poster said that's another story, originally Barclays Center was going to be an able to NHL adequate facility, but economy tanked and Barclays designed was reduced to be more of an basketball facility to cut cost. Nassau County politics doomed the Islanders and they are in their situation.

Old Brooklyn
From a PR standpoint,

Had Melo signed there before the move, instead of being signed and traded to NY... they may have started developing a base that survived the move.

If the right moves could bring some flamboyant personalities and talent to Brooklyn, they'd be able to recover.

why? NBA already flopped in Vancouver

Grizzlies M.E.M.P.H.I.S. version >>> British Columbia version
i don't like the revisionist history that people really gave a fukk about Big Country Reeves and Shareef Abdur-Raheem

The Vancouver team was still supported, averaged around 16-17K in the first 4, until the final two seasons when the previous owner wanted to sell and it became clear to fans that the team wasn't going to be there long-term. Demographics also changed quite a bit from back then and the CAD used to be always below .70 USD. NBA can survive there if they came back but I don't think they will go to Vancouver before Seattle.

naw, i think nobody cares.. u think die-hard KNICK fans are gonna jump ship to a team with no history or identity?

90% of Brooklyn is gentrified hipster cac's from the Midwest, they dont watch the NBA fam.
Someone was going around the city putting up fake Nets ads showing to Deron Williams on some "Brooklyn....I'm an American basketball player who plays on your local team. Like you, I also have a beard ." :russ:
