Conferences are there for the sake of scheduling and making travel practical. They aren't going away. Same goes for seeding the top 16 teams in order.

Silver has been talking like he's ready get rid of them for top 16 seeding. There's no reason that they can't just use it for the playoffs and keep the regular season pretty much the same. Even if that's not realistic, they can atleast re-align the conferences and bring a Texas (Cuban has been in favor of bringing the Mavs to the east) team over to the east, and give the bucks to the west, which could help remedy parity a little.

Pretty sure you mean divisions, which I would agree with in theory

I meant conferences for top 16 seeding and re-align them as in swap squads over.

Divisions too though so that way the regular season scheduling can be much more diverse and give us more marquee matchups per week

Realignment is something you might be on to. Maybe move a Texas team east and Milwaukee west. The central division is the only option given where Atlantic and southeast teams are. I wouldn't want a team like Indiana or Chicago going out west and the good Detroit teams of the past seem to really exemplify eastern conference type of play. On a side note, it annoys the shyt out of me how the Blackhawks are in the western conference while the Bulls are in the east and how the red wings used to be in the west while the pistons are in the east.

Bucks >>>> Mavs in like 2 years, tops though. Same with a lot of Western Conference squads. The days of the 50-win 8 seeds are almost over. Moving a young up-and-coming East team for a veteran West team balances things today, but makes it even worse tomorrow.

That team in your avi not making the next 10 years would make u reconsider quick

Not at all breh. I've been a fan since 93 so I've seen our highs, and I see no reason for us to be in the playoffs if we suck. I don't see being in the playoffs as a "prize" if the level of competition is low. We gotta earn that spot.

When I watch the playoffs, I want to see to good teams compete. I don't want to see the Knicks take up space in the playoffs if we suck. I'm a Knicks fan but I value good basketball more.
