For someone with his talent they shouldn't lose so many games especially by blowouts. Ben Simmons at least beat Kentucky. Something doesn't click for me, but like I said I could be completely wrong and he can end up killing in the league.

Look at the Dennis Smith situation, Washington's team is far worse and they have fukking Romar as a coach :russ:

Fultz is doing everything he can to win, he's not putting up empty/non-efficient numbers.

Well for Ainge, he clearly has a lot of favorites that he WON'T part with (Smart and Brown). If he could get the players he wanted (George/Butler or whoever else) without having to give away his favored players, then he would do so. He definitely sees the growth potential in Brown and Smart and is probably relying on them to keep playing as well as they have on their relatively cheap contracts.

Ainge is trying to balance building a contender while keeping his diamonds in the rough and building for the future. Weird situation.

I still could see him revisiting the Butler deal in the summer

A player who can average 25, 5, and 5 and guard the other team's best player isn't a superstar?

Lonzo Ball, Fultz, Monk, Josh Jackson, Tatum will be better than Paul George? Thats basically what Ainge is betting on.
He's NEVER averaged 25, 5, 5. You would think in this scorers league where with guys like IT averaging 30 and Westbrook averaging a 30 pt triple double that PG could average atleast 25 but he's not, especially since there are no other scorers on his team. And what superstar player has he defended well?
