Wizards dont need to be making win now moves like this when they have no legitimate shot at winning the title

They should keep building on what they have and not hand away a pick in a loaded draft

They will have Bojan for a season & a half and watch him walk for nothing

Adding a bench scorer doesnt move the needle for them

I wouldn't be convinced that Grunfeld doesn't give him a 4 year deal :skip:

Worry about your own team.

It's a decent move and it makes them better. Just because they might not be able to win a championship doesn't mean they should tank

Bogdanovic. >>> whoever they pick in the 20s

And they'll likely keep him.

It works for great for Washington. Bojan will be an RFA this summer. They also get McCullough who has some decent upside.

Either way, this allows them to not have to worry about the financials of bringing Otto back and provides a good bench scorer.

Man shut the fukk up with 'worry about your own team' shyt :mjlol:

and who the hell said they should tank?

you don't know that, these drafts continue to get deeper and deeper and we're seeing high quality players outside of the lottery

and the Wizards arent going to match whatever ridiculous offer Bojan gets next summer when they are already paying maxes to Wall, Beal & Porter

How does being forced to match an offer for Bojan help the financials of keeping Porter? Wouldn't it make it more difficult

I didnt realize Bojan was a RFA this summer, I thought it was next summer

Sending Nicholson's contract to Brooklyn helps with Otto.

They will be able to bring them both back, it's not likely that Bojan gets something too outlandish.

In order to get paid there has to be someone willing and able to pay him that much. There are a lot of guys who will get their's before Bojan this summer, I just don't see anything that Washington can't/won't match.

His numbers are going to drop off in Washington as well, so unless he absolutely balls out in the playoffs then I don't see it.

What a horrific trade.

I really was praying for no deal. It's predictable though. Ernie signed a horrific PF in the summer and now had to try and clean up his mess

The draft and rookie scale contracts are assets in this new salary cap

We needed a new GM about 7 years ago.
