For a guy who is supposed to be a defensive mastermind, Thibs doesn't seem to understand the idea that you need good defensive players to play good defense.

His team will continue to suck defensively until he gets an actual rim protector. Towns is TERRIBLE as a rim protector. And in today's NBA where there is no hand checking and everyone has a runway to the basket, you can't win without a rim protector.

Thibs should be doing everything in his power to acquire someone like Nerlens Noel rather than a washed up Derrick Rose.
