So would you say it's pretty much not a question that Celtics should do what they can to get PG or Butler, right?

I understand not gutting the roster or giving up a valuable pick for a player at the tail end of his prime but they are in position to still have picks, future development and one of those two guys... Crazy they aren't getting the deal done yet.

I'd trade this years pick for PG/Butler, but not both, my reasoning is that this years draft is heavy on PGs, and the Celtics have several of those already. If they draft one of the PGs that player will be coming off the bench for the next few years unless they don't re-sign Thomas. Next years draft is heavy in big men, and a couple of small forwards.

Naw, maybe if the pick wasn't heavily protected and almost a guarantee Mavs will get it back. Even so, Oak is the one who should be getting traded, Nerlens bought in to the team, got along with Embiid, and was showing to be a promising backup for him when he gets hurt.
