I fukks with it. NBA gametime is cool. especially when I don't wanna see the other BS that ESPN is showing on sportscenter. Sometimes u get a bonus on gametime with them showing games. and now they even put the TNT staff plus c-webb and greg anthony on there regularly. so it can be piff. and they show games like 3 days a week as well.

It's a very dull network especially compared to MLB...which is strange because you would think it'd be the opposite.

The graphics, the live lookins, etc...it's as if they got no money and brains behind the network. I know they've upgraded the studio recently but it just doesn't seem like it's up there yet.

Regardless, I watch every night.

How they don't have a show like the caliber of Ahmed's NBA Inside Stuff is egregious. :comeon:

What's the point of the network, then. :skip:

I only watch them for the highlights because they go more in-depth than Espn which may give you a 30 second highlight.

Yeah they could be better but I still watch nightly and Sam Mitchell gives zero fukks lol, Patrick Ewing was horrible last week and Mitch Richmond is bad too I don't have problems with anyone else I just love the NBA so I guess I can overlook a lot of the shortcomings

Why is the studio set so dark? And yet the TNT Inside The NBA studio is right next door and that studio set up is piff. :mindblown:Their graphics look like crap, the music is trash, their sound during games(crowd, announcers, arena) sounds slightly muted. When they interview players post game it looks amateurish with those headphones and little booth the players sit in.. looks like they're in a garage.

Why in the fukk don't they have a NBA styled 'First Take' type of show every morning Or a NBA- PTI or Around The Horn show. How hard would it be to produce something like this? :mindblown: I'll hear more tidbits from Steven A and Skip in one hour than I'll hear from anyone on NBA TV over the course of 24 hours. Its like they're half-assing everything on that channel. Its like we'll give you the NBA but at the same time we won't. Show some ABA/CBS/NBC games but tie them into a show like where two basketball heads have a studio set like a living room and they reminisce and talk shyt while the game is playing:ohlawd: They gotta freak shyt. They have so much at their disposal but they don't use it.

MLB Network and the NFL Network goes in hard for their respected sports. MLB Network is fukking amazing. That's production value at its highest degree.

-now with all that being said I still watch NBA TV but damn, it just doesn't make sense:ld:

The studio set up looks like if I blow hard enough at my TV, the entire set would collapse.

if inside the nba was 24/7- 365. would it be as enjoyable? probably not. yes some of the analyst have no business being up there. (mitch richmond, patrick ewing, rick mahorn) oh my god i remember robert parish was on an episode. it was horrible. i actually like sam mitchell. i think he's one of the better analysts on there. i like gametime, i like nba fantasy with rick kamla and dscott. arena link interviews are great. i think the key is keeping us entertained during the offseason. thats my problem. last year i had to watch the miami heat- thunder finals like every single day. i dont wanna see that crap. we need better draft coverage. i like watching gruden qb camp or mike mayock talking about the draft. why cant nba tv go more in depth with the draft. They also need to bring the females back. i miss rashan ali and lachina robinson. and please get sekou smith out of there. im sorry but a 5 foot fat dude talking hoops. i cant roll with it.

yea, i'm surprised that after all these years they still don't have more original programming on NBA TV. They need the "Intentional Talk", "Quick Pitch", "Prime 9" and other types of shows outside of the Fantasy Bball joint. Use the studio talent you have, or get some new guys & make it happen. Brent Barry and Dennis Scott are fun guys...do something with them. Get a fun daily show poppin that'll make people want to watch.

Get Doug Collins this offseason & make a show where you analyze plays & matchups weekly or something.

I know advertising dollars aren't all up there, but you can't tell me the NBA doesn't have the funds to invest a lil' more into the network. All you see is old games, replays of reg. season games, etc...which are great for a bit, but this ain't ESPN Classic.

Dude some of these former players have no business on tv period. I think they need a personality on that channel and it doesn't have to be a former player. Hate to say it but they need a Skip or Steven A just to mix it up a bit. And you're right, where's the in depth draft coverage. Where's the coaching talk, they all sit in those seats all day on set. sometimes they get up and run a play on that mock basketball court but where's the touch screens at? ESPN is breaking down the Lakers and Jazz remaining games better than NBA TV does.

The channel has to be tied into the league right? They make hundreds of millions of dollars a year in worldwide broadcasting and licensing to foreign countries.
But yeah they other than that crappy fantasy basketball show, they literally have no shows at all. Even the set of the Open Court is wack
