Now that Warner Brothers Discovery (parent company of TNT) isn’t running NBA TV and NBA Digital for the first time in 17 years, the channel will look different.

And NBA TV will air 60 games. Down from 107 last year.

ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler will anchor one-on-one conversations with coaches.

A bunch of podcasts are being platformed.

And it looks like MJ Acosta-Ruiz, David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes and John Wall will be the new faces of NBA TV.

Is NBA TV even relevant like that any more? Chances are Amazon will try to get the NBA Playoff games that usually were put on NBA TV in the first round. NBC/Peacock will get the second round along with ESPN/ABC. NBA TV is a waste of money and time now. Get rid of it. :why::camby:

I never thought that it was popular/relevant, but I liked their coverage more than ESPN. Every league has a channel, so I doubt that it will be going away.

Most of the Warner people avoided having hot takes for the sake of having hot takes. They did have some really good programming like the shaq & kobe interview and the open court series. I'm not a fan of the league running the network because they may try to limit criticism of the league. How much pressure did Silver apply to ESPN in order to get them to release Mark Jackson & JVG?

Amazon will have both 1st and 2nd Round games, they won’t have a Conference Final until 2027 (and every odd year during the deal)
