NBA to broadcast G League games on Twitch

The NBA and streaming service Twitch have come to an agreement to broadcast G League games on the platform beginning Dec. 15, the two companies announced on Wednesday.
.
.

With the partnership, at least six G League games a week will be broadcasted on Twitch.

.
.

After the games air, they will be available on demand from the G League Twitch channel's video library.

:ehh: I'm interested. Especially if a bigger platform (and one more recognizable by the youth) helps bring more players that won't be able to go straight from HS to the league into the G-League. Should help make this a more appealing alternative to college if the rule changes end up forcing players to stay in college multiple years.

i have a feeling amazon is gonna be a major player for national broadcast games rights and this is probably a test run for the streaming service.

this is probably a sign that Adam Silver and the league wants to get rid of the one and done rule too. the timing of this is just too convenient with the rule change talk and the NBA contract rights going up for grabs. if they get their rookies in these development leagues then it'll give me a reason to tune in.

Not just rookies, other high school players who don't want to do 2 years in college.
