He's definitely solidified himself as a seminal artist of his era, He's an icon. Lot of us older heads won't get the hype and thats fine, but he deserves his flowers. His consistency, staying power and now longevity, should be applauded.

He's a superstar with the "it" factor that only superstars have. I respect it.

If you're grading 2020s rappers, He's set as a Rushmore guy of this era. I honestly don't even know who would belong up there with him, because all the other consistent guys at his level, are an era ahead of him.

His fans love him more than the actual music. He's an icon for this generation.

Call it what you want but they are showing up in person to see him perform.

You can't bot show tickets and that's why a lot of these "popular artists" are getting exposed with ticket sales.

His popularity exposes the whole hip hop music industry as a joke. No songs on radio, not ranked on any list, only talked about when he's in trouble.

Goes on tour and has a fanbase big enough to make 70 million. Regardless of how you feel about the music, A LOT of people love it apparently.
I think this is great for music. Shows that radio isn't in control and now other artists have no excuses. And these kids know every word to his songs.

Sound sound sound
Did his thing

I was thinking it would do alright in the major cities, and borderline struggle in some of the lesser cities..but word of mouth spread that it was a good show and exceeded expectations

FALSE. I just looked him up (his history) on Billboard top 200 and this is what popped up

HipHop/R&B streaming songs

^^His R&B/HipHop rankings are better than his Billboard Top 100

.
.
what this means, is that while he's not a big crossover act in the traditional sense (this means you have tons of white fans), his R&B/HipHop numbers show that he's big with "Urban" or "Black" audiences, as this is the audience that the R&B/HipHop chart represents.

In the old days, this is what one would call the "Chitlin Circuit" (black and urban = R&B charts) from "Pop" (white masses=top 40) chart, divide...

NBA Youngboy is basically the black "Chitlin Circuit" (meaning, heavily outside of the happenings of white mainstream)

but on steroids

.
.

NBA Youngboy basically has so many "black" fans that he doesn't need to crosssover to "white" people to put up numbers/sell out out arenas...which I find very unique because black acts that don't have some type of "white reach" usually are very local/can never sell out venue the size of arenas:jbhmm::why:
