Is this game scripted? Especially in online games. I'm not saying the opponent will not go on runs and not score but too many times I will make a three and like clockwork the opponent will make a three too. What is going on here? In previous editions of 2k you could always tell when the game would get crazy but it would never be so blatant. THIS YEARS GAME CATERS TO THE NOOB! Personally I have decided that I'm done with 2K for awhile because its just completely ridiculous from the crazy runs to the unrealistic layups, the cpu having auto defense and seeing passes when their back is turned. The favoritism on the major market teams like the goddamn Knicks. Im retiring i doubt I'm coming back. to 2k

My biggest gripe has always been the CPU with their defense awareness being so god like...however I will admit it will keep you honest with bad passes

yea sometimes they be in passing lanes like gods, and throwing up stupid ass threes nobody would ever take and draining em when they down.
I swear I was just thinking this shyt. Ever since 2k11 and the removal of lobbies, they have catered to the absolute casual, dumb shyt live fan who have migrated. This game rewards the cheeser who try hard to the rim with someone like Lebron or dudes who dribble around the perimeter until they have an opening to launch a 3. Its to the point where I just back out and quit with no regard for my record. I also feel like I have no control over the gameplay. Its all canned animations and CPU preference. If the CPU feels like it need to go on a run, they will intercept every pass, make you brick wide open shots, hit any shot, cause your AI teammates to completely loft away from their man for absolutely no reason. I just played a game where Jason Richardson and Eric Turner were hitting threes like they were the splash brothers. I really wish we could go back to the 32/64 bit days were we had like ten different franchises to choose from. I'm about sick of 2k and their bullshyt
At least they changed steals in 14. Last year when u went for a steal it was a foul 99% of the time, regardless of positioning. I like what they did with myplayer but next year they need to throw some variety in there

The more you learn how to play the game and what works and what doesn't...the more you enjoy the game. Initially I was unable to enjoy the game at all but now I at least have fun with it. 2k just needs to go ahead and hire me on to handle online play. Not that I know net code or anything but I would stress how important it is to game like 2k. The game suffers online and is really turning off long time players.
First off we need dedicated servers because whatever system we running on now is not good enough. It really defeats the purpose of playing when you have input lag you're working against. Add some variety to the online game modes..there should be a legends team mode ala 2k11. Quick matches could be NBA today games that don't affect your record with random teams. There should be a separate mode for "ranked games" with sim settings on HOF level with proper sliders such as reach in fouls are called at a rate to deter scrubs from reaching on every play. Let's also while we are at it throw in an actual match-up system that links players with similar play styles/ records/ skill level.
