Even though it was arcadey, Live 06 was the Live I had the most fun with after 95. Live 07 & 08 were absolute trash, I was done completely with Live after that.

Only time Live was ever better than 2K was 2003-2004 when 2K Sports dropped that 2K4 garbage. And neither were even the best that year, Inside Drive was.

The only reason this was ever even a competition was because Live's legacy in the 90s and because 2K was late to the more popular PS2. I will say Live had more customization and features early on but it stopped being a sim after Live 2000.

Once 2K scooped up the Inside Drive team and got hold of next gen hardware it was a wrap for Live and they really didn't recover till they scooped up Mike Wang from 2K which made Live 10 and on look hopeful. But he left and the rest is history.

2K is kinda coasting right now but it's still a good sim if played right. But competition is always good.

The Live with Jordan's last go on the Wiz was the last good Live game. That shyt was immaculate, Steve Franchise was on the cover. But that Live on the next gen was ass and there is no comp for 2kthe which is a shame because 2ki is far from perfect and the devs seem to give no fukks about player feedback

I liked live 2004 and 2005 better Than 24 and 2k5 to be honest and I've been playing both since both existed. Everything after that has been all 2k for me and the last live is one of the worst basketball games I've ever played lol

i dont remember a francis cover but I do know that 04 was Carter being a Toronto head. That one was good to me
