The whole NFL vs NBA thing in pointless.

NFL will reign king for our adult lifetime.

Maybe, MAYBE, when our kids are full adults then will the NFL fall off.

The NBA has been the best at getting the young audience, I give them that. NFL needs to find a way to do that more, which will be tough with CTE being a more prevalent issue now, but still very doable. My guess is once Goodell finally GTF the NFL will hopefully move towards a more progressive leadership.

But either way, NFL isn't in danger of losing overall popularity to NBA anytime soon. But they still need to be thinking ahead on how will they be able to function 30-40 years from now like the NBA is doing.

CaC sportswriter sees the nba as a threat to his glorious nfl so he makes a insecure reddit type post disguise as a article :russ:
CaCs and c00ns hate the NBA because there’s no white golden boys to take all the credit for the black men’s work, the faces of the league are all black and they actually have to look at the black athletes faces unlike in football

This is actually a massive L for the NFL considering the numbers are this close and the NBA was on TNT...

Via multiple reports, the basketball game drew a 5.1, despite being broadcast on both TBS and TNT. Of course, the Pro Bowl was simulcast as well, on both ESPN and ABC. And, yes, broadcast networks like ABC typically generate bigger numbers.

This is Fox News-worthy type levels of spin. All we've been hearing about for years is how cable is hemorrhaging subscribers and millions of people each month are cancelling cable, whilst every human in America has broadcast access for free.

Counterpoint: NBA beats odds, sees gain in local ratings

The NBA continues to buck the television ratings trend, with both national and local viewership showing impressive gains as the league headed into the All-Star break.

Nationally, NBA games on ABC, ESPN, NBA TV and TNT are showing double-digit viewership increases. The combined 15 percent jump puts the league’s TV viewership at its best mark heading into All-Star weekend since the 2012-13 season.

Locally, regional sports networks are seeing a 7 percent increase in ratings so far this season. SportsBusiness Journal analyzed ratings data for 27 U.S.-based teams across the NBA. Seventeen RSNs showed increases; 10 posted decreases. Information for Memphis, Utah and Toronto was not available.

This is where I stopped reading. U can't compare ABC to TNT.

Biff in Podunk, Arkansas was watching the Pro Bowl. This trash ass country has alot of "Biff's"

Who hates the NBA though? I haven't heard of anybody talking about they hate it since the pre-dress code and Iverson/Pacers/Pistons goon era. Some people have problems with the style of play currently, but nobody's praying for the league to be destroyed
As far as this site goes all the hate comes from NBA stans toward the NFL. All the boycott this and this sport is going to die ROFL threads come from NBA stans

Not really. Majority of NBA fans plan their whole weekend around all-star weekend and make sure they catch the game on Sunday. Most of the NFL fans ain't even watching the pro bowl, those viewers for that joke of a game are just a minute percentage of the actual fan base

Eh. I think more fans care about the festivities on Saturday night than the game on Sunday.

:usure: No they don’t.
Only way if people don't have both is if they're old and only watch 3 channels or cable cutters.. The most basic package of cable most likely come with both. If you're an NFL or NBA fan there is no way you don't have ABC/TNT/ESPN/YES/SNY/FOX Sports/etc/etc
