lol I realize that im talking about for travel of the teams and making the conferences more competitive.

They get 2 to 3 days off right now anyway. A charter flight from Boston to GS is what 6 hours? You only travel after game 2 and game 4. But its a sweep regardless.

i didnt know they brought back those long drawn-out drawin' ass schedules.

This change. The west used to be trash while the east was stacked. Now look.

West has been the better conference for a while breh, not just recently. While the best team in the NBA may have been in the East, the west has been the harder conference overall for a couple of decades plus.

it did have more of my fav players though.. AI, Tmac, Vince etc..one man armies with shytty teams around them

those weak nets teams were running through the leastern conference

the east has only won 5 titles since 1999..and most feel the heat got ref help in the 06 one

Yeah the point of divisions was to create rivalries. Its hasn't worked.

No keep divisions to make scheduling easier, but do the seeds 1-16 regardless of division winners and conferences.

We coulda had something like this

1. Warriors vs 16 Boston = Warriors in 4
2. Atlanta vs 15 Bucks = Hawks in 4
3. Houston vs 14 OKC = Houston in 6
4. Cliipers vs 13 Pels = Clippers in 5
5. Memphis vs 12 Wizards = Memphis in 6
6. Spurs vs 11 Raptors = Spurs in 6
7. Cavs vs 10 Mavs = Cavs in 6
8. Blazers vs 9 Bulls = Bulls in 6

Scheduling will never be hard. Thats a wack excuse to keep something so effective

We whine because there are severe flaws with the scheduling and regular season that hold the spot back

Just get rid of conferences altogether, it's long overdue.

The NBA is going to have to decide if they want a long regular season or more than half the teams make the playoffs. It can not be both.

You play 82 games to only determine that more than half your teams make the playoffs and teams with losing records get in make the regular season utterly worthless for non hardcore fans.

I agree, and it ends up hurting teams in the end that should be in the lottery but squeak into the playoffs because they play in a weaker conference. The best thing that happened to the Pacers this year is missing the playoffs, they have a chance to pick up a player that could help them.


Just get rid of them and have the best 16 teams go, the product improves as a result that the teams that need the infusion of talent are most likely to get it.
