These guys have proven over and over again that they can't be trusted to hoop on their own. It's actually embarrassing how many restrictions and rules Adam Silver has attempted to put in place just to get these guys to play, and play hard lol

No way players like Kawhi and Wemby are hooping this frequently without the minimum put in place. Some people actually feel sorry for jokic that he used up all his sick days early in the season and now he can't take any time off :mjlol:

In every other sport, the players WANT to play. Thats one of the reasons why the older players shyt on this generation and it doesnt happen as much in other sports. The lack of competitiveness and the crying disgusts them.

You dont see that in the nfl, nhl, MLB, soccer, etc

But Cade didn't miss games for load management, his damn lung collapsed.

Wemby missed out last year cause of blood clot.
there were earlier games in the season where guys could have played but the teams sat them.

Still hate that the majority still think it's the players, when it's the team that is holding them out.

Still, the players can kick rocks. They signed that shyt in the CBA. I don't think that asking to play 80% of your team's games is unreasonable. Injuries happen everyday b.

Luka sat out 8 games before we even hit Jan 1. Lakers had played 32 games and he missed almost 1/3rd of them for load management, minor injuries or other reasons.

So I refuse to have any sympathy for someone like him.

Stop sitting out random games, or back to backs in the months of nov and december and maybe save them for possible longer injuries that occur later into the season.

the obvious problem with having a 65 game rule for the awards is it can make them a farce. ppl should take the games and minutes played more into account for awards, but it should be under a scale, not an eligible or ineligible. voters should be able to measure impact from the stats and time spent on the court. i would change the incentive structure for the awards and all nba where its a yearly bonus that doesnt count against the cap but is payed out by the team rather than just having a supermax. players would never agree to that now but that and the nba fining teams for load management games would be the best system to incentivize guys to play more games every year.
True....if a breh plays like 1988 Jordan, the team goes 50-12 with him but he misses 20 games and they were like 8-12 without him it's clear dude is elite and warrants consideration.

Minutes played matters too. Also gotta consider every game carefully. If Wemby plays 20 minutes on a random night in December, that's a lot different than Wemby playing 20 minutes in early April when he's borderline at the 65 game limit.

Most of the hoopers gotta start lifting, working on flexibility and shyt. Just doing runs all day errday isn't enough now. Get some of that LeHGH or something. NBA players need to step up the offseason work on the track and in the weight room.

You say Luka sat out these games and cited “minor injuries” as a reason, now don’t you think with his extensive injury history and the workload he has that this is a calculated, preemptive measure so that it doesn’t spiral into something worse?

Kind of like, I don’t know, forcing himself to meet the 65-game requirement and he just so happens to suffer a season-ending hamstring injury because of it.

Both Wemby and Jokic did the same, and were fortunate enough not to end up like Luka did, but let’s say for argument’s sake that they were - how many injuries to star players would it take for you to acknowledge that this rule is more harmful than beneficial?
