Ne-Yo just releases a modern classic and no mentions?

Sans the track with Pitbull (which, itself, isn't bad for the lane it was intended for)...

... this is some vintage IN MY OWN WORDS Ne-yo soul shiit.

Good lawd, 75 minutes of pure, unadulterated R&B goodness.

There's a concept behind it too... the ways the tracks play together so cohesively.

The harmonies and lyrics are on point and something the game has been missing for a very hot minute.

Production itself is top notch... but its Mr. Smith's pen game/melodies/bridge game are what really steal the show.

Please peep if you haven't. I promise, if you're a fan of that mid early 2000's R&B... you won't be disappointed.

:stopitslime:

No album name or nothing?

My bad breaigh...

Album is titled, "NON-FICTION"... but this shiit right here is real.

Here's something to peep. And please do so. I guarantee your winter will thank you for it.

Fall in love again, fam:

and the latest single (the way the layers/instrumentation accumulate as the song progresses is something unprecedented in todays pop music)

(the 3:02 mark is why he is such a prolific song writer... that bridge is :ohlawd:)

:ohhh: is it on itunes?

Yeah... it officially released last week i believe. So you good.

Ne-yo has always been able to write in a multitude of perspectives and embedding himself in either fictitious scenarios or actual real life experiences... and turning them into heart-wrenching ballads or soulful grooves to help you get over your ex.

In this instance, he's parting ways with a lover and wishes her well... a great way to end the album.

It's such a blissful tune yet... identifiable cuz most of us dudes really want what's best for someone we once shared so much time with and admired so much.

Congratulations... hope you find someone who will love you.

I was sitting in a cafe, sippin' my orange mochafrappacino, like a solo gold rusher looking for that payday; i was mining my own.

Until i noticed a fine, extra lucious specimen entering the premises... it was like a glowing aura of radiantial celestial bliss in the form of a human. But she was so fine. Aboot 5 feeted 5 with brown eyes with sound thighs: so delicate to the touch, heels that accentuated her calves, which were perfectly shaped like they were carved from the Louis Escargo (of Mt. Rushmore fame). It was the look of being born again. To experience life straight out of the womb or watching the sunrise at a tropical beach front. From the seems of it.

My initial carnal instinct was to approach... because, afterall... somebody from upstairs brought her down to me. Right?

So as i sat, thinking about all the possible scenarios that i could accrue from mental, what words i had to say, as she was making her order at the cashier, but i had to ensure that how i initiated this fine walking diamond of pearl... if i said the wrong thing, i could lose it. If i say the right thing, we could be meeting together for lunch tomorrow, get familiar and then possibly... start to fall in love.

And as i stood up... a voice goes:

"Honey, you need my black card? Integrity, I got this..."

This was her soundtrack

Good album

But you know the coli much rather complain about R&B than listen to it

So this thread won't do well

The thing is that, even the bytches on here can't even appreciate good R&B anymore.

They just want that current ratchet, twerk mode trap crap beyonce or tryflin Keyshia Bimbo Coles album about breaking up and shiit. Or some corny bobby generic anthemic anthems by Alicia Keys to the range.

To consider, I NEVER make threads unless i'm passionate aboot something and trying to get the info out there.

This album is all you really need in your life right now.

It's like listening to a movie.

That true, legitimate, ginuwine audio visual sound... but with stellar penmanship, superior production and melodies that will make angels go :ohlawd:
