Sounds like Brits also, I can't say much about Australia, Canada or New Zealand.
American parents are shyt who force their kids out by being unbearable to live with. This is why people shouldn't be so quick to move out their parents house when they are young.
Save your bread for a year or two then move out![]()
40% of americans make less than $15 an hour....How many have new phones, new cars, and houses they can't afford? How often do they eat out?
Can't throw this statistic out there without going into good detail. Folks could make $100k/yr and still be broke

We really take things for granted.. For every 10-15 people you THINK are living good, making 50k a year, and doing well. There's a whole food service industry not making shyt... Whole retail industry not making shyt. Whole part time workforce not making shyt.. No degree having workforce not making shyt... Don't forget this includes older people too who may be phased out of the workforce... fukking minors and state gov workers... CO's... shyt police don't even make 50k.. You think the bus drivers are? The nikkas at the train station. The security at the office building.. The janitors.. Anybody involved in teaching
Most of america is fukking broke to lower middle class
It's not even because people don't have money, it's because they have no financial literacy. And who's fault is that? It's not as though handling money is a part of any public school curriculum. If you don't learn it from your parents (and most parents don't have the literacy in the first place), or venture out to learn it on your own, COMBINED with having the right emotional mindset to handle money properly (good luck being in a good financial position if you have low self esteem) and this type of shyt makes sense.
The majority of people who can't afford a surprise expense like a car repair have a late model smartphone.![]()
When I ask people to look at their car expenses, they almost cry seeing how much goes into just maintaining it. At least you can get rid of your car.
I could’ve easily brought one within the first few years of leaving college but it didn’t make any sense. I see people buying expensive cars that depreciate the moment you drive it off the lot.
If you really want a car, then get it on finance/lease, never buy one outright unless it’s a long term investment. It makes no sense in buying anything that depreciates that quickly.

Pretty ignorant considering the cost of living varies significantly in the US.Nah, they're just not good with money. Just budget and you should be able to make $12 an hour at 30 hours a week stretch pretty far with enough left over for a comfortable savings.
Are you insane? 360 before taxes is comfortable on what world? Not earth. Please explain how to pay rent and commute on that budget of yours? You usually make intelligent post but this is borderline retarded. I didn’t even put in food, utilities and phone.Nah, they're just not good with money.
