Southeast DC
Would it be cheaper if one of them dropped their job to stay with the kids? But then again they might have to move to afford rent.

And yes I think DC has the most expensive child care cost in the nation.

They live in NoVA and want to stay (buy a house) in Arlington.:francis:

With Amazon coming into the picture they gonna have to do some hard rethinking on what they want to do when their kid gets older.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
True But Maryland #1, NJ #2, VA#8, CO#11 are not.

My point still stands calling America outside a few big cities 3rd world is a reach.

Actually I didn’t fully agree with his list either and contrary to popular belief since people like to shyt on Democrats.

Most of the well to do parts of America are in Blue states

This is amazing:mjlol:

Some y'all in this thread acting so shocked either have rich friends, friends you don't know that well, or are completely ignorant to the way people are living out here

Most Americans are one missed paycheck, towed car, firing, or medical emergency away from ending up on the street

Some of your coworkers sleep in their cars and you have no idea

I bet half of those people in the 40% don’t know how to use money properly.
If you increase the dollar amount to $4,000 the percentage probably becomes 70.

Didn't the goverment shutdown show everybody how poorly planned people's financial situations are in this country?

2 missed paychecks and shyt was about to be over. Well paying jobs too
Yep, most people I work with are idiots. No planning whatsoever.

Exactly

My cousin live in DMV and just makes $40,000 a year and he living good... minimum debt, no kids and live within his means

My other cousin and his wife both live in DMV and combine to make $180,000 a year and has 2 kids, but they living check to check, cause of child care and his wife wants to compete with her girlfriends and their husbands
Where in the DMV is he living at?
One thing that make me SMH and I’m pretty sure every dude in here without kids hear it all the time is women with kids who hit u with

“ U DON’T HAVE KIDS?? U NEED TO HAVE KIDS”:stopitslime::francis:

And these words be coming from broads struggling to pay a kids meal at Wendy’s
Man you ain’t lying. And it’s usually church women trying to hook me up with their single mother nieces/daughters/cousins.

Man, the look I give them when they say “you should be married by now, have children by now. You’re selfish.”:stopitslime:

Nah, I’m happy and child-free. I have no paternal instincts at this moment in time. I don’t hate children but I see no benefit in having them at this point in my life. My most recent ex tried to pressure me into having a child with her. Man, I threw her into the bushes quick.
Old ladies at my job and at my family reunion say this to me all the time. I am 42 though...but I just don't want kids.

They live in NoVA and want to stay (buy a house) in Arlington.:francis:

With Amazon coming into the picture they gonna have to do some hard rethinking on what they want to do when their kid gets older.
I'll probably move somewhere near Woodbridge or Dumfries...and I'm single with no kids.

Came from a 3rd world country and visit from time to time.

The main things in the US that the 3rd world countries don't have is the infrastructure for basic services like trash pirckup, hot water, electricity, also subsidized housing, welfare and other social programs, etc.

3rd world countries don't have those.

People who compare poor parts of the US to 3rd world countries have never lived in one:yeshrug:

How many have new phones, new cars, and houses they can't afford? How often do they eat out?

Can't throw this statistic out there without going into good detail. Folks could make $100k/yr and still be broke
How many are being underpaid for their labor; aren't a part of a union or collective bargaining agreement; live in an area with an inflated cost of living; are trying to cover student loan debt, medical debt, or credit card debt tied to maintain some semblence of balance?

How many got screwed over by absurdly high insurance rates, watched their house go under in 2008, lost of a family member that was a source of income, were laid-off or fired from their job, were imprisoned and are paying associated court/prison fees, and how many are caring for children, or a loved one?

The real questions you should be asking.
