American exceptionalism at work. Stick your head in the sand and deflect blame when something is wrong. It’s been our undoing for a good 240 years now. Same problem we always have. Same exact cause every time.
It’s not just stick your head in the sand. We have criminalized homelessness.

Tents are all over the place in DC. I never seen it so widespread in my life. And I remember being on the U Street corridor as a kid in the 1990s when DC was a more violent place, more hood.

Slide through SE and you will find a bunch of folks out here living in cars, vans and RVs back up in these cuts around here. Same thing goes for Suitland Parkway back up in the woods you can see the tents.:francis:

The underpass of 295 that’s over Pennsylvania Ave before you cross the river, a bunch of tents.

I was in DC recently. The homeless problem didn’t seem as bad as it is in Miami. Maybe I avoided the worst areas.

But we NEED illegal immigrants right? :mjlol:

No we need public housing in general and housing specifically made for people with mental health issues and who could be categorized as special needs.

Also a national Co-Op program to promote affordable home ownership.

"unsheltered homeless"

No one in New York, Chicago, Denver, etc. trying to spend those winters on the sidewalk. Cali has perfect weather so people ain't as quick to get in the shelters.
Speaking of Denver, little off topic. Amazing how all these white people buy up all these new lofts, paying 3k a month just to wake up in the morning go outside and people just laying around on the sidewalks up and down the downtown streets.

I hate even going downtown and seeing that shyt and these crackers all in their coffee shops and hipster bars while people outside are fiending and laying in their own filth.

I mean America shouldn't be causing problems in the global south which causes people to migrate here in the first place

I like how people who point this out demonstrate just how unimaginative and one track minded they are that they think we can't solve both problems in a humanely manner

But we NEED illegal immigrants right? :mjlol:
