Dennis Erickson took them to Fiesta Bowl when they had Ocho Cinco,Housmanzadeh and Ken Simenton Riley was coaching in San Diego then came back after Erickson left.

I grew up on Coach Erickson, shame on me for forgetting his run there

Riley was awful with the Chargers, and has 1 10 win season since his return to OreSt. this is just a terrible hire

Neb's AD is Shawn Eichorst, who was at Miami prior. I think he would have fired Golden, but if this is how he hires I guess ill take Blake James

As the only Oregon State fan on this board I'm torn for you Nebraska fans. Riley is a good coach no doubt, but he's very by the book/runs a clean team. He's easily one of the best in turning a 2 star high school talent into an NFL player. He's family oriented which does work for some recruits and families. I highly doubt he'll ever get Nebraska to the CFB playoffs, but with Nebraska being a more desirable college program then Oregon State he could have them competing in the Big 10.
