I'm not a comic book guy, but the sentiment you describe hardly evokes "Superman" in my mind. Is admitting that you got beat fair and square, but claiming the moral high ground because your opponent fights without honour or whatever... really a "Superman promo"?

I don't recall him downplaying it either, seemed to me that he was putting KO over strong as fukk as a competitor while attacking his character. What's he supposed to say? "Owens you're the best and also a great guy, hats off to you bruh".
