That’s his fault. He signed the deal and if he did create the show, he gave it to them. A better manager or agent negotiates that stuff up front. Joe has no long term vision because he likes to shoot himself so he has something to complain about.

Joe has been in the game for damn near 2 decades, tv-shows, major label, group deals, whatever and it goes on.
nikka has signed like 500 contracts and even likes to sit and give these youngins advice on how to move.
So he should have included that in his damn deal if it was such a big thing. He's no AK who just got into this, or 16 year Lox dudes signing with Pufff. You are only getting punked if you don't get what's agreed upon.

I’m sure they didn’t know that show would become what it did. It’s not easy to just put that stuff in a contract. Complex signing nikkas to 6 month contracts ain’t good either.. Looks like they didn’t expect it to last long either lol. I’m not a big Budden fan but I have no problems with how he handled this.. He had rappers out here responding daily to a guy who’s supposed to be irrelevant when all he’s doing is giving his opinion on shyt. Dude was the one bringing in all the news/traffic to that show, give him more money.

It wasn’t a bad deal; it’s the deal he signed. He (or his people) didn’t have the foresight to think the show would pick up sponsors? Why would a corporation give him a deal that’s not beneficial to them, just “off the strength”? If he was really the creator, he could’ve gotten everything he wanted day one if he was on his P’s and Q’s.
You can see his mindset wasn’t on business. It was on frivolous sh*t like being able to smoke indoors and being treated like a star.
He’s not coming from a place of power, no matter how much he thinks he is. The show didn’t make any money, and it killed valuable connections to mainstream rappers due to his rants. He’s well within his right to move on just as Complex is within their right to tell him get the hell on.
