I want a car that isn't some basic accord/civic/corolla/camry/altima/ but costs cheap around 3k-6k so I can buy it in cash.

I'm looking at reliability, looks, comfort, maintenance/parts costs, lower insurance, and possible resale value.

I'm 24 and have a year and a half of college left.

I was thinking several main options.

05-08 dodge charger :takedat:

Please Add any suggestions. I want a good reliable daily driver for my short commute to work that also is something I can go out with that has some style/power and still be proud of driving.

Was mad at my mom because she said all these cars I've been looking at are all hood cars and I'll be pulled over.

That Crown Victoria P71 or the Mercury Marauder :noah: EASILY the top two choices, considering the things you're looking for in your next car.

If you're leaning towards Crown Vic or Charger check this thread http://www.thecoli.com/threads/about-to-cop-no-pun-intended-an-ex-police-unit.349073/ and hit the site up that I linked further down in a later post.

And if you find something you like on the site don't worry about it being so far away, they'll ship it right to you ($500 average cost is what I've found around the net). :banderas:

Interesting a lot of brothers I know down here in the DC area go to police auctions and get the crown vics dumb cheap for 1-3 stacks then pay a stack or two to clean it up.

Crown vic would be the cheapest to maintain, parts cost wise. It would be expensive to run daily as MPG is very low.
I would suggest getting a Honda Civic or Mazda Protege for reliability reasons.

Good bye Coli(2014-2020)
I would get the Charger. I feel its a bang for your buck and will disagree with the cliche that American cars are built bad....Because its usually exaggerated. BUT I would get the Charger only if the previous owner kept it in good shape, if so its the bang for your buck on the list.

Lets see...
  • A head turner
  • A sporty sedan that gives you a sporty feel, plus you can further mod it.
  • Roomy.
  • Reliability is okay... Not Honda good, but still manageable.
  • Cheap
  • Since its American maintenance will not be expensive.
  • Great horsepower(again sporty feel)
  • Gas is okay. Depends if you want V6 or V8.
My only concern would be insurance.

:mjlol: Hello no! A first gen Charger with the Fisher-Price interior?

I do like that, speaking just grammatically, your post is good.
