The Tribune reported in February that executive vice president John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman were safe even if the Bulls missed the playoffs for a second straight season. Forman went on to publicly state that coach Fred Hoiberg would return to start his third season next fall.
But in lieu of firings, there will be fuller participation.
The Reinsdorfs' belief in management's roster-building ability and talent evaluation remains strong, the Tribune reported in February, but the Bulls front office is small by league standards. Team President Michael Reinsdorf has been quietly gauging other organizational structures and is expected to push for more open debate, discussion and exchange of ideas between principal decision-makers.

Hopefully it's money being restructured to take the hit for fred being fired.
Gar and Jerry wives being besties is probably what's saving his ass right now.
I mean it looks horrible because hoiberg didn't inherit a 15 win team with 5 years of losing. He inherited a 50 plus win team that just made the 2nd rd. Between hoiberg being terrible and gar not properly using the assets they had at their disposal to properly improve the roster both of their heads need to roll. I think it would be fitting for at least both of them to get the axe.but at the end of the day, this is business, and there's no way they can think he's good for business.
