The trading of the 2nd round pick for cash really makes me sick. Especially considering we just found a guy like Zipser in the 2nd round last year. It's just an indefensible move.

Still happy we are rebuilding, but it also hurts my head to think that it had to come to this. It needed to happen right now, bit it shouldnt have gotten to this point. We had a legit star, and we failed to do something with him. It's also tough to stomach because we couldn't just have a clean, amicable break with Jimmy. Of course it has to be shrouded in Gar bullshyt with the reports of him being a snake.

Jimmy embraced this team and city like no other. It hurt to see his press conference in Minny.

i still don't think we got enough for jimmy ..and I'm surprised after all the issues they had with rose and his ACL and his comeback that they decided to put there eggs in that basket again

there is no reason the FO shouldn't have rolled the dice ..if they didn't get the required haul of players .. and @ least 'tried/attempted/ to build rnd jimmy ...

if it didn't work I'm sure we could have still have at the ,very least got back a upcoming talent' coming off a ACL ,even at that stage...

pulled the gun to early ..and panicked at there own abilities to bring in talent

We have a bottom 5 Roster but in typical Bulls Fashion, I can see us over-achieving and ending up with the 7th pick or some shyt.

Unless Silver Blesses us like Stern did with Rose in 08, we'll be in basketball purgatory for at least the next 3 years :francis:

Jimmy isn't here anymore, I don't have any worries of that happening.

Won't be any optimism for tanking until things start making some sense

Right now, we off to a bad start.

Once free agency starts slowing down, big names are off the table, many teams will realize they not going anywhere and start attempting to bottom out.

Especially if these guys yall are saying is coming in, is as good as you all promote.

That puts the bulls in a group of about 10 other teams who will want a top 3 pick, and all of these teams fan bases talking the same "top 3 pick in the next 2 seasons" talk our fan base is talking.

That is why you don't take some mediocre package for your star player. Because things just might not fall in the draft the way you think it may fall. But let's say we do over achieve a bit, then we could have had a top 4 pick, great young prospects etc to kick things off with

But if we do happen to be just a little better than other teams that are trying to bottom out, even let's say we end up 10th in the east, we still out of that top 3 pick range, and if dunn continues to play like one of the worst rookies picked at his spot, as he did last season, if lavine never comes back to what he was prior acl, which is possible and if lauri is nothing special and can't stay on the floor due to his defense, then we just traded a top 12 player in the league for literally nothing.

This is why adding this teledosis guy and keeping niko makes no sense, why take a chance with a team that may overacheive? Why take a chance with a team who could get you some wins down the stretch while teams are trying to bottom out?

So now embrace the tank for me, sorry this shyt looking like some bullshyt right now.

Bulls' Michael Reinsdorf defends Jimmy Butler, wants criticism to stop

“I’m really sick of this leadership issue,” Reinsdorf wrote. “Jimmy is a great guy. He tried hard to take guys under his wing. Whatever issues he had or did not have with the players, I can assure you it wasn’t because Jimmy doesn’t care. He’s just very honest.“I really don’t want the impression to be that the Bulls organization is disrespecting someone who has meant so much to my family, the organization and the city of Chicago.”

Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker said this week that Butler was “a bad locker-room guy” prone to outbursts against coaches and teammates. Even ex-Bull Scottie Pippen, a senior Bulls adviser, questioned Butler’s leadership ability on the ESPN show “The Jump.”

Reinsdorf’s text came as the post-trade drama was turning into a “he said, he said,” with a source telling the Sun-Times that general manager Gar Forman misled Butler leading right up to the trade and Forman denying that to be the case. The text also supports the feeling, previously reported in the Sun-Times, that as he gains more say in the organization, Reinsdorf has the Bulls headed in a more positive direction.

Several in the organization have referred to Reinsdorf, the son of chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, as “beyond competitive,” but also “ready to take on this rebuild the right way.”

The Jimmy was the bad apple campaign :mjlol:
Yep just like it was eddy curry fault, then it was ben gordon fault, the it was scott skiles fault, then it was Vinny del negro fault, then it was loul deng fault, then it was thibs fault, then it was noah and rose fault (they got a 2 for 1 special of blame for that one) now it's jimmy fault smh.

I'm glad more in the media are starting to focus the heat on the common denominator in these situations, gar and pax.
