Need a tablet suggestion

The $299 ipad will be the best tablet deal you can get imo. Android tablets can have nice hardware, but tablet android is neglected software wise

Yeah this isn’t one of those situations where other companies have comparable offerings. The only tablet worth buying is an iPad, and no, I’m not an Apple stan.

Budget is $300 some moderate use.

if its just watching TV shows and movies, get Amazon Fire 10...

I ended up getting the ipad 6th generation. The experience doesn't seem that much better than my phone in terms of what I'm able to see.

Certain sites still cut off at the edges even in landscape. Is this how tablets usually are?

a samsung tablet is your best bet then imo...that being said I can do everything on my ipad that I normally do on my PC w/ the exception of downloading/playing torrents but the experience may not be the same even tho the end results are so some folks may not like that

Depending on what you need to do you can get a dex to get actual desktop mode on any screen.

Outside of OP, if anyone is looking for a tablet, I have the detachable Chromebook that turns into a tablet, the HP X2 and it is pretty decent. Larger than what I prefer for a tablet but ChromeOS is the truth with guaranteed updates through at least June 2024.

I heard you mention that but honestly I’m not too familiar w/ what you’re talking about bcuz I don’t visit websites anymore on the PC since I got an ipad almost 10 years ago...so I’m not sure know what I’m “missing” if anything...I literally just use my PC for torrents and nothing else...I haven’t noticed anything odd about the mobile sites I visit and there’s usually a option to switch to desktop mode which I rarely use

You ever get this? I'm looking @ the s5e as an end-of-year present to myself. Would prefer a 8.4" screen to be honest but none of the bezels look good on anything released recently

Nope reviews turned me off. I just want a successor to the shield tablet. Never happening
