Me and 1 of the homies was politicking and we came up with an idea. We basically said everybody in Cleveland wanna be a rapper, but nobody wanna be a CEO. So we said we should start an entertainment company, with a studio and where we manage people. Make them nikkas come to us.

We started discussing the paperwork needed, money, banks, etc. Anybody who been in this position before have any advice?

Before anybody come in here and try to shyt on me, I know this ain’t something that will be easy. But I’m tired of wasting my time and energy making other people rich.

You should be more clear on what type of advice you want.

Do you want advice on building relationships with industry players

Marketing

Contracts

PR

Distribution

Royalties

Contracts and royalties. I don’t have a problem promoting a brand.

The best advice is to read books relating to those subjects.

When you have the knowledge, get your advice from lawyers in the music business.

IMO when you are starting off. It’s really not much benefit to the artist to sign a contract to anybody.

Most ppl early one dint have a musical identity.

Back when i used to rap and do shows, I’d say 90% of new ppl are kicking someone else’s persona, sound, beat choice. And a lack of funds make em cut corners which affects the quality of the music.

Id advise finding ppl who are already experiencing a level of success and becoming a marketing/branding squad.
