Need advice on buying a laptop

just did a quick search for macbooks in the bay area and it's like a gold mine

a bunch of macbook w/ retina going for ~1k from start ups that failed pretty much perfect condition too.

You can get ones that look damn near brand new with original box and everything for about $750
