I'm looking into the 200-300 area. fukk paying 500. I can get a PS4 and a game at that price.
I just got an HP yesterday at walmart for 249....500 gb hard drive, windows 8.1 it will do evereything im going to need as im usually on my phone or ipad.
You can get a faster MacBook Pro on craigslist than you can by buying that.
Just search your local craigslist, you can get a macbook retina for that price.
Don't know shyt about macs....school me
What do you want to know? It's basically a laptop that runs OS X. There are tons of videos out there to get you comfortable.
Don't like OS X? You can just install windows on it.
I need a laptop with alot of ram and a good processor. Just for my encodings. Nothing fancy.

Cheap. 300-400. I got a Dell account...could just get something there anyway.
I wont say yes or no, but a few things to consider.
-You can't expand the ram or storage, it's 11 inch, No disk drive, Flash will drain your battery.

just did a quick search for macbooks in the bay area and it's like a gold mine
a bunch of macbook w/ retina going for ~1k from start ups that failed
pretty much perfect condition too.
