Need help buying a laptop

So basically I need a laptop. I will not be gaming on it. I will be browsing the internet, lots of multitasking, netflix, streaming porn, watching HD youtube, watching downloaded movies and such.

So there is AMD and Intel laptops with either Dual core or quad core processors. AMD seems like a better value is that true? Is a AMD quad 1.4ghz better than a dual core 2.5ghz? Does the ghz of the CPU matter? Is Intel i3 with a 2.4 ghz CPU better than a Intel i5 with 1.7ghz? Do the generations of the cpu matter? Should I go AMD or Intel? Help a nikka out.

Also Im fine buying used or refurbished because my budget is only 300 bucks. Ive been checking out Ebay, Cowboom, amazon and other outlets. I have an Windows 7 CD so Operating system installed doesnt matter.

I Agree, for what you'll be doing and for your budget not sure if you can beat a chromebook. Plus they have sd slots.
