I've been recently looking into getting a laptop and just wanted get some suggestions on what models would best fit my needs and budget.

- Looking to spend max 1000$
- Don't want a Mac
- Touchscreen if possible
- Fast enough to run recent games
- Good enough hardware to last at least 4-5 years

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info, as far as games are concerned it's really not a top priority. But it's just something that would be good to have. The 4-5 year thing, I was more asking asking the lines of hardware upgrades (ram, hdd). I heard that most laptops are really restrictive when it comes to that.

If you don't care about gaming:

If you care about gaming, you're gonna have to get rid of the touchscreen and up your spending limit. Real talk

If you want a good laptop for gaming you gotta make sure u get a good ass Video/graphics card check the ratings of it online. You also need atleast 4GB RAM (8+ preferably) and a processor/CPU that's 2.8ghz+ (preferably quad core 3.1ghz+). These the most important things, everything else don't really matter when your talkin bout performance.
