But then i came across this on Groupon.

What would be the better buy? She's obviously gonna play games on it, and watch netflix and whatnot.

I wouldn't spend too much for a tablet for a 5 year old.

That low end Kindle Fire is probably your best bet with the strong case.

My kid has been using an iPad since she was 5 but you seem to already know what you want so just buy the cheapest thing you can find.

Is it her first tablet? If anything get her the kindle and let her rock it for a year and some change and see how she treats it. If you think she will take care of an iPad, get her that next. $75 ain't bad,

My now 3 year old .. stole my Ipad mini a year ago... He got You tube kids and a bunch of curious george and other kid games ..I was mad when he started saying My Apple Tablet .. but its cool.. I only bought it so I can teach my wife how to use hers...

I tried to give him my old Samsung and LG but he wants his Apple tablet.. it really is easier for kids... and more educational apps/software is on teh apple platform anyway .. so now it is His Apple tablet..

Right, and iPads start at $250 which is why I originally asked what the budget looked like before making a helpful recommendation. People lookin at me like

Like I said earlier .. my 3 year stole my Ipad when he was 2... Hell .. i drop my tablets/phones more than he drops his Ipad..
You child will follow and do what you do.. if you value your merchandise they will do...

My man walks around the house with his... in and out of the case... no problems yet... I drop the remote at least 5 times a night... he dropped his ipad maybe 5 times in he past year...

get an older nexus 7 breh.. i still have the first generation for my kid and it still is fast and updated.. not expensive either on amazon
