I don't need to research something that should be common sense. we have a day/night cycle. you can fly over the eastern hemisphere or the pacific to get to Japan and Australia. you don't need to be a rocket scientist to get it.

But that's the thing about "science".. If you understand what science is, then you know there is no such thing as "believing in it 100%" because there is no "it" to believe. By definition, science allows for its theories to be falsified and corrected with new evidence. So if someone believes something that science backs up, it is because the current evidence we have today supports this particular theory better than any other theory that's been presented. But the fact that the theory could change tomorrow with new evidence shows that science isn't playing the same game you are when you say shyt like this. You're just trying to win an argument and be "right". True science is interested in getting at the real truth of how the universe is and how it works. It's not motivated by agendas, a desire to prove others wrong, or to win arguments. Just the truth

While I do agree that this is how true science is supposed to work...and I myself am an agnostic atheist who believes this whole "flat earth" idea to be complete bullshyt...don't you think it's possible that the results from scientific research could be skewed or falsified by powerful people with a particular agenda in order to manipulate the uninformed?

Not saying that that's the case...but isn't it possible (and considering human nature, increasingly probable)?
