Wanting someone who is not a nerd, and Having limited or no social skills and not putting themselves in a position to meet each other are all reasons for it.

Speaking as a nerd this is it. Seem like nerd black men and women are rare so it's harder to find each other because we're not interested in a vast amount of people.

It's not. If you want to keep it black you'll find one. There were barely any black women at my high school, black women weren't in my field of study, black women aren't working for the same company as me............but my girlfriend at the moment is black (just like every other GF I've had) and she's "educated"


She's quirky (not nerdy), we're almost nothing alike, but she wasn't hard to find


If you want to date out, go ahead, but cut that bullshyt out making it seem like it's difficult to find variety on the black dating scene

Shyt like this is what makes nerd nikka think they undesirable. Because we don't adhere to the same "swag" standards, you make black nerds feel like outcasts or "less black" with comments like "How are you black and a nerd"?

So black men can't be shy, nerdy, soft-spoken, or quiet? Black women can't be slim, petite, or anything?

Get called out for having trouble finding black women

Based off my limited experience, here's what I dealt with and have seen

1. Both groups aren't particularly desired throughout their adolescence nor do they deal with an entirely different social hierarchy. We still want the charming/attractive/sexy person with social status that we're all told is the cream of the crop so we overlook each other.

2. Lacking in social skills and social awareness. I know I was lacking in social skills so I jumped when a girl showed interest in me. It just so happens that the girls who would show interest and be vocal would be white so I assumed that white girls liked me more.

3. All those factors mixed with the white supremacy that's prevalent in the media that paints are other halves in a bad light start to reinforce those thoughts because humans naturally cling to things that they think mirror their experiences. "All black men are sex-crazed and aggressive who like big butts. That's why they didn't notice me!" "Black women DO want thugs and are typically abrasive!"

Thank god I went to a HBCU and stopped falling for the BS.

Hard for nerds to find each other when their families push them to study hard subjects to get a good job in their coming of age years when everyone else is building their social skills and personal relationships. On top of that, they are stigmatized and shytted on by the media.
